Our Primes are grown at a site on the far eastern side of the harbor just north of Clarke’s Island and inside the barrier beach of Saquish Neck. This site is closer to the main channel that feeds the nearly 5,000 acres of upper Duxbury Bay. Vast amounts of cool nutrient rich water from Cape Cod Bay pass over the farm site at every tide change. The result is a full-meated oyster that is naturally tumbled in the grow out cages.
